Present continuous(I am doing)

Rule 1:- am/is/are + -ing is the present continuous:

I am (= I'm)	driving
he/she/it is (=he's)	working
we/you/they are (we're)	doing

Example:-

1. She 's drivingto work. (वह काम पर जा रही है।)

Rule 2:-When we want to say - I am doing something = I started doing it and I haven’t finished; I’m in the middle of doing it.

Example:-

1. Please don’t make so much noise. I’m trying to work. (not I try)
कृपया इतना शोर मत मचाइए। मैं काम करने की कोशिश कर रहा हूँ।
2. ‘Where’s Mark?’ ‘He’s having a shower.’ (not He has a shower)
"मार्क कहाँ है? 'वह स्नान कर रहा है।
3. Let’s go out now. It isn’t raining any more. (not It doesn’t rain)
चलो अब बाहर चलते हैं। अब बारिश नहीं हो रही है।
4. How’s your new job? Are you enjoying it?
आपकी नई नौकरी कैसी है? क्या आप इसका आनंद ले रहे हैं?
5. What’s all that noise? What’s going on? or What’s happening?
यह सब शोर क्या है? क्या चल रहा है? या क्या हो रहा है?

we can use present continous tense when we want to about the action is not happening at the time of speaking.

1. I’m reading a really good book at the moment.
मैं इस समय बहुत अच्छी किताब पढ़ रहा हूं।
2. Kate wants to work in Italy, so she’s learning Italian.
(but perhaps she isn’t learning Italian at the time of speaking) केट इटली में काम करना चाहती है, इसलिए वह इतालवी सीख रही है।
3. Some friends of mine are building their own house. They hope to finish it next summer.
मेरे कुछ दोस्त अपना घर बना रहे हैं। वे इसे अगली गर्मियों में खत्म करने की उम्मीद करते हैं।

Rule 3:- You can use the present continuous with today / this week / this year etc. (periods around now):

1. 1. You’re working hard today. (not You work hard today)
   2. Yes, I have a lot to do.
2. The company I work for isn’t doing so well this year.

Rule 4:- We use the present continuous when we talk about a change that has started to happen. We often use these verbs in this way:

getting, becoming	changing, inproving
starting, begining	increasing, rising

1. Is your English getting better? (not Does your English get better)
क्या आपकी अंग्रेजी बेहतर हो रही है?
2. The population of the world is increasing very fast. (not increases)
दुनिया की जनसंख्या बहुत तेजी से बढ़ रही है।
3. At first I didn’t like my job, but I’m starting to enjoy it now. (not I start)
पहले मुझे अपना काम पसंद नहीं था, लेकिन अब मैं इसका आनंद लेना शुरू कर रहा हूं।
